NACE International Gateway- India Section of Eastern/African Region was formed in August 1992. As defined in articles if Association of NACE International, India Section is committed to carry out following aims and objectives:

 

  • To extend the recognition of corrosion and its prevention as requiring the attention of persons with.
     

  • To ensure the availability of adequate training for workers in the fields of corrosion and materials.
     

  • To promote scientific research in the prevention of deterioration of materials and the selection of optimum materials of special applications.
     

  • To provide forums and media through which experiences with corrosion and its prevention for the common good.     
     

  • To encourage special study and research to determine the causes of corrosion and to develop new or improved techniques for its prevention.
     

  • To correlate study and research on corrosion problems among technical associations to reduce duplication and increases efficiency.
     

  • To promote standardization of terminology, techniques, equipment and design in corrosion control.
     

  • To contribute to public safety and to protect the environment by promoting the prevention of corrosion.
     

  • To foster co-operation between operators of plants and structures in the joint solution of common corrosion problems.
